About CMN

Green Bay/Oneida Campus

The College of Menominee-Green Bay/Oneida campus has an enrollment of over 200 students. Our campus has blossomed in size and quality since we opened our doors in 2003, attracting superb faculty, staff, and students. We strive to serve the people of the Green Bay/Oneida area.

Although students come to CMN for a myriad of reasons, they all benefit from our active and small class sizes. Our hands-on approach to education ensures that students are fully engaged in learning. Many students come to CMN because of its historical devotion to access. Many students come to CMN Green Bay/Oneida campus because of the warm, inviting, and safe atmosphere. We provide the opportunity to earn a degree and begin a professional career to a wide range of learners.

Learning Assistance

At CMN Green Bay/Onedia, professional and peer tutors work hand-in-hand with faculty to assist students in improving their grades. This teamwork results in CMN students achieving real improvement in study habits, which translates into improved grade point averages. Study groups and one-on-one tutoring sessions are very common and are examples of the successful strategies many of our students use to make the most of their learning opportunities each semester.

Resource Room

The Resource Room is CMN-Green Bay/Oneida’s library. We not only have an excellent selection of library books available on site to be checked out, but we also have reference materials in the library stacks and reserve materials specific to certain classes. Students can access the main library’s card catalog from this link.

CMN students may request books from the main campus and through the Wisconsin Interlibrary Loan service. All CMN students are able to obtain a NEW ERA card, allowing them access to about 20 libraries in Northeast Wisconsin, including UW-Green Bay, for example. Use this link to connect to the NEW ERA site.

The Resource Room currently has a bank of 6 computers for student use. Tables for study groups and individual study carrels. Professional tutors and peer tutors are available most of the time, and certainly by appointment. These learning assistants are able to help with most subjects offered and work closely with the faculty to ensure that serious students have every opportunity to succeed.

Student Life

Student Life has many functions: welcoming new students, supporting on campus activities throughout the year, and helping support graduation events for those students completing a successful degree program. Student Life activities reflect the interests of the current student body. Many suggestions for activities come from Student Government.

In the past we have had various holiday parties, social dances, student recognition events, and regularly provide snacks or meals on campus. Student clubs are supported financially by Student Life, along with staff and faculty assistance.

Every CMN student has a voice in this process through his/her Green Bay/Oneida Student Government representative and/or the Student Life Coordinator. New ideas and involvement are strongly encourage and welcomed.
