Teacher Education Program

The Teacher Education Program was the first bachelor degree offered at the College of Menominee Nation. Our education program focuses on developing pre-student teachers to become capable and caring teachers of early childhood/elementary children from diverse backgrounds. Because of the importance of science and mathematics in our world today, CMN prepares pre-student teachers to meet these content areas with confidence. The Early Childhood/Elementary Teacher Education Program educates pre-student teachers to know, understand, implement, and assess the cultural experience of all children, especially American Indian Children. CMN pre-student teachers pre-dispose children to understand the legacy of caring for their relationships with others and protecting their natural surroundings.
