Student Testimony

"I firmly believe that CMN is an exemplary community college and that our focus is the community ... and what is the center of our communities? Children ... and children are in the schools. By providing the opportunity to receive our degrees at our community college, we are increasing the potential to affect our children's lives exponentially, because not only do they have teachers who live among them and share their culture, they witness the possibilities for their own futures by having positive adult role models. Shouldn't that be the focus of education? To change lives for the better? I believe so, because I'm a teacher and I am proud to say that I make a positive difference in the lives of the students and families that I've known most of my life. I want others to have this same opportunity - that would not happen if they had to travel to distant universities."
