Financial aid money is made available to students for the purpose of paying for educational expenses. Financial aid is designed to supplement the amount of money students and their families are expected to contribute to meet the cost of attending college. Sources and amounts of financial aid money vary, and each student's application for financial aid is individually reviewed to determine eligibility. Eligibility is based on the student's demonstrated financial need. The "need" amount is the difference between the cost of attending college for one year and the expected contribution of the student's family. Each student applies for financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) once a year. To find out about completing a FAFSA form on the web, go to http://www.fafsa.ed.gov
