POSITION SUMMARY:
The Admissions and Recruiting
Specialist will initiate, coordinate, and implement admissions and
recruitment activities throughout northeast Wisconsin. Recruitment will
include overnight travel and presenting programs to large and small
groups. This is a partially grant funded position.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Facilitate and chair monthly Recruitment Committee meetings.
- Develop a
recruitment plan to include area high schools, tribal offices, pow-wows,
training centers, and college fairs in coordination with Recruitment
Committee.
- Develop and
implement a budget for recruitment in coordination with Recruitment
Committee.
- Identify,
recruit, and support students interested in pursuing degrees.
- Develop
demonstration materials to be used at high school presentations and
college fairs.
- Build
relationships with Indian communities, education leaders, and
elders.
- Provide the
Admission Representative with accurate information regarding
prospective students.
- Work with
prospective students to complete admissions form and start
registration/admission process.
- Work with
admissions, financial aid and other student services personnel to
ensure student success in the registration/admissions process.
- Appropriately
communicate to the public at large the role CMN plays in the
community it serves.
- Gather and
report data relevant to the success of students contacted, enrolled,
and successful at College of Menominee Nation.
- Perform other
duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A bachelor’s degree is required and
experience in sales, marketing or higher education is preferred.
Applicants must possess strong interpersonal communication skills and
marketing ability. Strong computer skills in word-processing,
keyboarding, and database maintenance are required. The ability to
organize, prioritize, and work successfully with a wide variety of
people is essential. Applicants should be willing to learn about the
community, the local campus and other college programs and resources
relative to student needs and must be a team player. Spanish language
fluency is helpful. It is necessary to have a valid Wisconsin driver’s
license, auto liability insurance, and a willingness to travel
throughout northeast Wisconsin, including some overnights, when
necessary.
