Environmental Engineering Technology

Get ready for a new career field

  • Hands-on ways to address environmental problems
  • Government, community and industry career options
  • In the lab, in an office or factory, or in the field
  • Predicted job growth in Northeast Wisconsin

Growth-potential jobs range from water use/water treatment and health-safety specialist to lab or compliance technician. Work in biotech, ecology, agribusiness, manufacturing, community development or many other sectors.

More than just science and math

If engineering sounds like the career for you, but the heavy-duty math, physics and chemistry of most engineering programs are a concern, check out Environmental Engineering Technology. You’ll study in math and science courses, but with an emphasis on practical environmental applications instead of the higher-level theoretical coursework typical in engineering majors. You’ll prepare for problem-solving work and implementing projects with other engineers in engineering settings.

CMN also offers a Pre-Engineering major in cooperation with UW Madison and UW-Platteville for students interested in electrical, mechanical or other theoretical/conceptual engineering careers.
