Fall ‘Summit’ Puts Focus on Midwest Climate Topics

A series under the auspices of the Midwest Climate Summit kicks off on Friday, Oct. 2, with five virtual events to follow. The “Think Tank” series of keynote addresses and workshops will be presented on Fridays between Oct. 9 and Nov. 20.

Featured speakers include CMN Interim President Christopher Caldwell, who served for many years as Director of CMN's Sustainable Development Institute, and national notables such as Robert Bullard, known as one of the most influential people on climate policy and considered by many as the Father of Environmental Justice, and Daniel Wildcat, founder of the Indigenous Peoples Climate Change Working Group.

The Midwest Climate Summit is the result of collaboration among more than 20 Midwestern colleges and universities, local governments, and non-profit and private organizations. Information on the October-November programs is available here.
