Dear TCU President
As you're no doubt aware, AIHEC received a grant from the Department of Health and Human Services for institutional capacity building at the TCUs. The first year of grant activity was based on the model of "training trainers," and six representatives from the tribal colleges received training in research administration and sponsored programs through the Minority Health Professionals Foundation. The notion is that this cadre of trainers will develop training and technical assistance modules for all of the tribal colleges. In order to design the most effective way to deliver the training, we would like to have more specific information about the needs at your college.
Please complete the attached survey form that covers basic questions about the preparation, compliance, and grants management activities at your college. In addition, there is a brief section regarding academic, research, and extension activities in the health related professional fields. This information will help us determine whether or not to emphasize that topical area in designing the training and technical assistance. The trainer team will be meeting in the near future, and it would be helpful if you could return this information at your earliest convenience. Thank you for your cooperation in this effort.
Sincerely,
AIHEC Cohorts for Change Team
