Two members from CMN are prominently featured in the newest edition of the Tribal College Journal, with Dr. Caldwell writing an introduction titled "Preparing For the Next Era of Sovereignty," and Dr. Chelberg speaking to the Culturally Responsive Student Support Model with "Rooted in Community: Stories of Transformation Through Teacher Education."

"In the early days of the Tribal College Movement, tribal leaders, members, and supporters rewrote the history of Indian education. They changed education from a tool of assimilation, used to erase Indian identity, into an opportunity to protect, preserve, and advance Indigenous ways of knowing and doing. Over the past 50 years, TCUs have grown as modern expressions of tribal sovereignty and self-determination, rooted in knowledge systems thousands of years old."
